Bhaktapur - day 7 in Nepal

Well we have made it a week. Turns out internet here may be harder to get than I first assumed. There are plenty of internet cafes and even wi-fi spots but to get at the modules for my course thus far has proved impossible. I'm crossing my fingers right now as I write this blog that the page is loading. I think it will turn out ok though.

Anyway, we decided to get out of the polluted Kathmandu yesterday and headed to Bhaktapur on a crowded bus (for half the trip) that cost 25 rupees each. It's still a city though, still a few honking horns and lots of noise and still cold at night and even right now - around 9am as I freeze my fingers trying to write this on a sticky keyboard. It could be worse though, I could have absolutely no internet, be living out on the streets and out of money. We stayed at a guest house (they are everywhere here) called Bhagdoan.. I think.. for a steep price of $25. mind you it was a relatively comfortable bed and a private bathroom.. which we didn't discover hot water until after we were dressed and ready to go.. oh well. Today we will head to Nagarkot, up in the valley, and old military town, and hopefuly find a hot shower.

We were also talking about our future trekking and adventures in March and April too and getting excited to explore Nepal. Guess I should get into the sunshine now though and warm up these fingers!
