Korean Airport - change of plans

So our journey is more than halfway complete but alas we haven't arrived yet. The plane from LA to Seoul was long and uncomfortable but at least we had each other.. plus the food was pretty good! Of course, LAX is still as terrible as can be with the line ups and the organization and what-not but it's not like we were in any kind of rush we just had to go through check in again because our seats weren't together so they fixed them for the flight from LA to Seoul but from Seoul to Kathmandu there was no two seats together..

HOWEVER.. as I get to the main point of writing a blog in this airport, we may get lucky and have a seat together for the next flight because as we got off our flight we were approached by a very hospitable airport personell telling us that the flight was full so they will put us on another flight through Hong Kong, give us each back $300, and put us in their fancy lounge to wait while everything is taken care of for us! I was secretly hoping, when we were approached, that we would be transferred to first class.. but I guess that's asking a bit too much. I'm in a good mood though, there's free tea and food and internet in this lounge, it's comfy, quiet, and I'm on my way to Kathmandu! Oh and did I mention there's snow here?! I didn't really think about what the weather would be like in Korea, but I guess it's pretty cold. Wonder how it will be when we arrive to Kathmandu.. whenever that is.. now I just have to hope Tikka got our message about the delay and isn't waiting at the airport for hours, wondering if we missed our flight or something!
