So apparently my phone won't let me edit my blogs on the actual site so I will have to do it from email for now. It's been a while since I've posted anything. Not that many people are following, but with 12 hours sitting and hoping nobody gets injured, I have plenty of time to work on my goals, my website, and updating those that care of my life at the current moment. I've been back in Canada now for over two months and falling back into the routine of life. I wanted to be an early riser, and when I was being woken up by sunshine and noise without an alarm clock it was easy. Not to mention no worry of sleeping in as it was my choice to go somewhere in the morning. So, I still press the snooze two or three times in the morning, rush to get food, shower etc when I finally do get up and tell myself that the following morning I will get up earlier than my alarm, exercise, relax and get to work with plenty of time to spare.
I may need some encouragement. Something to excite me about the morning. Perhaps someone asking me daily how my workout was..it used to work when I had my clothing layed out so in the morning I hopped out of bed, put it on and went straight to the gym..or the pool. Of course then I had somewhere else to go to. It wasn't just around the corner.
Well this blog is supposed to be motivating, encouraging and positive. I guess living alone in a small town with little human interaction can take that away a little. So I came to you, blog, and fellow listeners, to try and change that attitude. A stretch every 2 hours at least, get out in the fresh air, write about the things in life I'm grateful for and all ambitions I will achieve.First, getting prepared for school. I am going to do some prereading for the nursing program ill be in in Sept. I'll research all the possibilities I have with an RN degree and read real life stories of nurses to find out the reality of a job. I will also email the people I know who are already nurses and the advice they may have for me. Meanwhile, I would also like to advance my knowledge in other areas and find out what certificates I can get to advance my credentials. My biology degree will not go to waste lastly, I will review stuff I learned in my degree that is still of interest to me. Genetics, metabolism and obesity, population, and cell physiology.
Next I will continue to work on my fundraising objective as a philanthropist and learn all about book keeping for a non for profit org.
Finally and just as important I will make an effort to do at least 10 min of exercise a day. For now ill set it small so I can achieve it..if I don't get around to it in the morning, I will do it when I get home from work.
And so I encourage anybody else feeling as I am - slightly unmotivated and a little repetitive - to write a list of simple goals. Mine for this week I will focus on 10 min of exercise a day and reading about nursing and emailing fellow nurses.
And now I will get out and stretch. Aaah that feels better.
