Well, I made it through my exam, I made it to the airport, and now it's just a matter of waiting. I wasn't going to bring my laptop on this trip, thinking that my man already has one on that side of the ocean, but then I remembered about the layovers and of course, what if we both wanted to use the computer at the same time? So, I brought along my little netbook with no regrets.
I couldn't sleep last night, and had only gone to bed at 11:40pm to begin with after trying to decide which outfits to bring. I managed to fit everything in my bag small enough that I could have brought it on as carry on - but then I decided it would be nice to not have to carry it through each airport on my way there. Hopefully they don't lose it, then I would be very sad.
My adventure so far hasn't been too exciting. I came absurdly early to the airport, thinking I needed to be here 90 minutes in advance for an international flight.. I'm still not sure if that counts until I get to Montreal though.. but I guess it's better early than late, and I didn't have to wait in line at all - not even at the tim hortons! Took a before picture, looking kinda rough already due to lack of sleep, but I imagine I will look worse after 20 hours of flying - and that's just time in the air! I still have 2 layovers. Either way, I'm still pretty excited and fortunate to be on this vacation at all!
I have my passport, Euro's and US cash, and a book which I'm sure I'll finish probably before I'm even out of the country!
