Zurich airport - 6 hours to go

I have made it across the ocean! The trip to Zurich was long, but not bad at all. I watched half of the hobbit on the first plane and finished it on this plane, followed by "this is 40" or something like that.. I finished my book in Montreal airport and the final pages while sitting in my seat hoping nobody would ask me to move so they could come and sit beside me. I had an aisle seat which was not bad because it meant that I could get up whenever I pleased and I was in the middle so the people next to me were all together and just exited on the other aisle if they needed up. The only sad thing was that I didn't get to see the descent into Zurich, but I peeked over the shoulders of the people next to me and saw a bit of the buildings and the green grass and trees. It is so green here! I almost wish I had a longer layover so I could do some more exploring of this country.. one day.. one day I will spend longer in Europe, or I will do several short trips.. especially when I have kids! Make sure they are cultured!

The internet at this airport is only 60 minutes for free and I'm too cheap to pay for more.. plus I'm not entirely sure of the exchange rate with their currency. the currency is "CHF" - whatever that is. I think I'll just browse the many (expensive) stores in this giant airport and perhaps just sit with a cup of coffee.. although I'm wondering if I should refrain from the coffee as I'm already feeling very sleep deprived and should nap instead. The chairs are only connected in twos as far as I can see though and there are signs for a "sleep lounge" but I think it's one of those exclusive business member things. Anyway, I thought I would update everyone on where I am, it is unlikely I will have a chance to go on the internet once I arrive in Athens - and honestly I'd rather not anyway. I haven't seen my boyfriend in a month and a half and am so excited to see him and explore Athens in the afternoon!

Took another cheesy picture through the windows of the airport. I have posted both my first picture taken in Edmonton Airport and the one taken just now. I didn't get one in Montreal. The thing about travelling by yourself is I feel so silly taking pictures of myself or of the airport - I feel like such a tourist. I suppose that's what I am though!

I found a nice cozy spot where I could sleep undisturbed.. by people that is.. of course the announcements going off every 10 minutes did not help me catch up on my sleep

This is the extent of my carry on. I am glad I didn't carry on my main bag as I planned.. it's hot in these airports

Swiss airplane - perhaps I'll get a different view looking into the foresty fields as well.

Well, that's all for now. I'll continue to update this as much as possible for those following, this way you know I am safe and can pass the word on about how much fun I'm having! Or perhaps you won't.. haha.. Ah well, last major vacation before I'm officially not a student! eek!
