So, it's been almost a month since my last post and since I have reviewed my goals of 2014. Here's a reminder of these goals:
- Live less than a 1/2 hour drive from work
- Have a new/new-to-me vehicle
- Become IV certified
- Credit card bill of $0
- Pay off at least 20% of loans
- Have a body that makes me happy - ie. less fat, more muscle
- Learn 12 new songs on the guitar
- Use up wine tour gift certificate
- Gain a certificate to add to my resume
- Complete 30 day challenges for at least 6 months of the year
So how far have I gotten? Well, to be fair, it is only February and I have had my mind preoccupied on a hot hot vacation filled with family and beaches and looking outside at our bleak and cold winter, how can I focus on anything else?!
Cool - I didn't realize this photo could be animated with snow! Ok so technically this isn't where I live, but it's close by and it's in the same province.. so you get the idea - except where I am it's flat and more white
Now doesn't this look more appealing than the picture above??
So anyway, I digress. I have learned a few new guitar songs - "working class hero" and "let it be", when my mind was on camping trips for summer and acoustic guitar. I have looked at taking a course to become IV certified but I missed the deadline and am working on applying to a job that will give me that for free! also, technically I have finished #9 with all of my orientation certificates - now I have been oriented to codes (you know, CODE BLUE etc), conflict of interest, and confidentiality acts etc. Oh so exciting.
Alas, I go on this blog to express my feelings and to remind myself of the time past, even if there is only a few eyes to wander the page. I have plans to vacation at the end of August, where I will go on a wine tour, a tour hiking trip that my lovely parents got us for Christmas, and a camping trip (hopefully filled with friends and good weather).
For now, I'll continue to work away at paying off loans (I have a feeling the credit card will come before too long - maybe by June) and gaining career goals.

That's right. I can do it all. Though I hope my arms don't begin to look like this soon!
Here's to optimism!
